7 days of stillness

  • 7 days of Stillness - own location Australia (map)

Over the 7 days we can share insights and support each other on our journey. You may like to journal daily as a way of keeping track of what you are noticing.
It will be great to be able to share this with each other.

Okay, so I don't mean to sit still all day long or anything like that!  Even just half an hour, out in nature will be enough to give you benefit if you do this for 7 days running.
We will begin on Monday 21st February.

Some benefits of being still in nature are:
Reducing stress and anxiety
Awareness of the present moment
Observing the world around you
Benefits to mood mental health and emotional well-being
Breathing in the fresh air supports your body and lungs (even more important at this time)
Seeing what is right in front of you come to life
Re-wilding of your Self

TURN OFF YOUR PHONE AND MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF - THIS IS A NURTURING PROCESS…

Rewilding of the Self (excerpt)

"Bit by bit, life would reassemble itself all around me. Soon, birds would be foraging through the leaf litter at my feet; the impalas would drift back. It was as if I was slowly becoming invisible: my human nature drifting away into the landscape or being absorbed by the tree. And after a while my invisibility began to make other creatures visible. I was ceasing to matter"
 - Simon Barnes

…Inside, on a balcony or in your yard, anywhere that you feel comfortable to sit undisturbed for at least half an hour a day…

you will need:

  • to be comfortable and warm

  • sit mat or something comfortable to sit on

  • NOTE PAD OR JOURNAL TO JOT DOWN ANY INSIGHTS

I am looking forward to sharing moments of connections in nature together with you and creating a lovely nurturing community…
